But if this personality bothers you?....Then, you are destined for Night shifts.  Yippeeeeee! (...these types tend to congregate on Day shifts - NOT KIDDING.)

PS. And regarding IV Starts?  Everyone has &quot;a Way&quot;.  Try them all out and pick those that are sterile (a-hem) and work for you.  

My tiny pearl:  As soon as you are in the vein (positive flashback) and you advance a teensy bit more (to get the sheath &lt;i&gt;and&lt;/i&gt; the needle in the vein) ...

POP THE TOURNIQUET ---- &lt;i&gt;then&lt;/i&gt;, retract the needle.  Letting the tourniquet down releases the back pressure on the vein = less likely to SPURT like a MF!  (a-hem)</description>

		<description>Augh! I&#039;ve heard of clinical instructors like that. I think she should&#039;ve talked you through it before going into the patient&#039;s room, especially since you voiced concern. =(
